Мета:

• Формування освітніх компетенцій (інформаційних, комунікативних, рефлексійних) учнів;
• Розвиток непідготовленого мовлення учнів;
• Розвиток креативних здібностей учнів;
• Виховання зацікавленості до вивчення іноземної мови;
• Узагальнення знань учнів, отриманих на уроках англійської мови.

 

 

Навчальні задачі:

 - Закріпити знання учнів з вивчених тем та розширити кругозір;

- Формувати вміння працювати з новою інформацією;

- Формувати вміння будувати мовленнєві висловлювання;

- Формувати початкові форми рефлексії.

 

Розвивальні задачі:

• Розвивати вміння працювати в колективі і приймати рішення;
• Розвивати особистісні якості (відповідальність, почуття взаємодопомоги, доброзичливість);
• Розвивати та тренувати увагу, пам’ять, мислення.

 

Виховальні задачі:

• Виховувати повагу до культури своєї країни та до країни мову якої вивчаємо;
• Виховувати ввічливе ставлення до чужої думки.

 

Обладнання: інтерактивна дошка, аудіо запис, презентація до уроку, картки для роботи в групах, картки для оцінювання учнів.

 

1. Організаційний момент.

Вчитель:

- Good afternoon, children and our guests! We are very glad to see you here. Today we have an unusual lesson. We shall organize a competition called “Intellectual Club: In the World of English”. Two teams will take part in the game. They will do the tasks and our guests – the pupils of the 10th form -  will give them marks. Dear guests, you have cards for each team. Please, put there marks for each contest.

And now it’s time to form our teams. Each of you can come to the table and choose the card you like best of all.

Such pupils who have the cards of flowers are «Flowers», the others are  -----------------. Choose who will be the  captain of  your team.

Вчитель: - Are you ready to start?

Учні: -Yes, we are.

 

Warming up.

Each team should answer my question in turn.

1. How many seasons are there in a year?(4)

2. How many days are there in a week?(7)

3. Who is my mother’s mother?(my grandmother)

4. Who is my mother’s daughter? (my sister)

5. What is coca-cola? (a drink)

6. What is a hot-dog? (a sandwich)

7. When do the English celebrate Christmas? (in December)

8. When do the Ukrainians celebrate Christmas? (in January)

 

Вчитель:

Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. Now I’m going to teach you how to play this game. The game has 7 contests, they are on the board:

1. Do you believe?
2. Making the dialogues.
3. Time to sing.
4. The right choice.
5. Complete the sentences.
6. Grammar Land.
7. Favourite characters.

You will discuss the tasks in your groups and then the captain will tell us the result of your discussion. Don’t shout your answers! We listen to your captains only. Well, we wish you success. Be active, honest and helpful!

   II   Основна частина.

 

1. Вчитель: “Do you believe?”

• Here is our first contest “Do you believe?”. Look at the board. You see some statements. And you should answer if you believe them or not. You will have 15 seconds to discuss it in your groups and the captain will show us the sign. Happy smile for the answer “yes” and sad smile for the answer “no”.           (1 point for each right answer)

(На дошці презентація “Do you believe?”(Додаток 1). Вчитель читає твердження вголос, команди обговорюють. Після обговорення капітан команди піднімає відповідну табличку. Вчитель називає правильну відповідь).

1. There are 26 letters in English alphabet. (true)

2. People in America speak American. (false)

3. Mice can sing. (true. They can sing like birds!)

4. Red makes bulls angry. (false. No, they can’t see any colour!)

5. All the birds can’t see the colour blue. (false.No, owls can!)

6. In Russia, red means beautiful. (true.Yes, for example Red Square)

7. Purple is the colour for kings and queens. (true)

8. Horses always sleep standing. (false.No, they like to sleep lying)

9. Dolphins sleep with open eyes. (false.No, they sleep with one eye open)

10. Cats and dogs can’t see any colour. (false.No, they can’t see only red)

Jury will say the score of this contest.

 

II. Вчитель:  “Making the dialogues”

- Well done! And now we come to the second contest “Making the dialogues”. You have cards with the sentences. Put them in the right order to make up the dialogue. You have 2 minutes to discuss the task.             (2 points)

Учні складають з отриманих карток діалоги (Додаток 2). Через 2 хвилини 2 учнів з кожної команди озвучують те, що вийшло.

ІІІ. Вчитель:   «Time to sing»

• Well done! Now let’s see what team can sing! The captains choose 1 of 2 cards with song. (1. “Up in the sky”/ 2. “Gardening song”).           (5 points)

 

Капітани команди вибирають один з двох конвертів з піснею (Додаток 3). Співають її разом зі своєю командою. За виконання пісні кожна команда отримує свої бали.

IV. Вчитель:  “The right choice”.

• Now let's play the game “The right choice”. You have learnt a lot of words in English. Now we want you to show us how well you can write them. At the cards there are the words with the missing letters. You should write the letters.

                                                                    (1 point for each right answer)

(В словах пропущені букви. Завдання учнів – написати букви, яких не вистачає. Час виконання 2 хвилини).
